The Metriful MS430 is a low-power, smart sensor cluster for indoor environment monitoring. It's compatible with 1000s of host systems, including Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Measure more than 10 variables including air quality, pressure, light and sound levels. The on-board processor handles sensor management and analysis, helping you build advanced applications faster!
Monitor and understand your environment at home, work or school. Our fully-functional demo software shows you how to view and save the data, send it to the IoT cloud, and more.
Features
- Choose from 3 header pin versions: pre-soldered (straight/right-angle), or unsoldered
- Miniature size: just 37.5 x 23.4 x 3.1 mm (without pins)
- Contains BME680, VEML6030 and SPH0645LM4H sensors
- Suitable for 3.3 V and 5.0 V systems
- I2C interface with selectable address
- Two interrupt outputs for fast host system alerts
Our demo code on GitHub shows you how to:
- Host your own local webpage with interactive graphs and CSV file download
- Interface to IFTTT.com and receive free email alerts based on your environment data
- Connect to Home Assistant, the popular open source home automation system
- Send data to free IoT cloud accounts and view from any internet connected device
Operating modes
The MS430 has two modes of operation, giving you flexibility and convenience:
- Standby mode: trigger single measurements when you want them.
- Cycle mode: sensor measurements repeat automatically. You can choose from 3, 100, or 300 seconds repeat interval.
Please note
- This product requires a host system (e.g. Arduino or Raspberry Pi) and connecting wires, which are not included.
- Using the MS430 inside, or on top, of a Raspberry Pi case will increase the temperature reading, due to the heat output from the Pi.
- The gas sensor requires an initial period of "burn-in", and the air quality index requires an initial self-calibration period. Please see instructions for further details.
- The MS430 also provides an interface and data processing for the Nova SDS011 particle sensor, but this sensor is not included with the MS430 (can be purchased separately).
